This past weekend I took a military space-available hop down to Shaw AFB to house hunt and finalize the details of my counseling internship. It was a very interesting experience (more on that later!!). I wasn't expecting to actually buy a house, but I fell in love with an adorable home just minutes from the base and at a great price!! I knew that if I didn't snatch it up fast, some other young military couple would. So, with the go ahead from my hubby downrange (thankfully he trusts me!!) I made an offer!!! They countered, then I countered back, then....they accepted!!! The house was ours!!!! It was such an exciting experience!
After all of the details were worked out, Kate Lord (who is also in the states visiting family) and I drove to Pope AFB to try to catch a Space-A flight back to Germany. We are still waiting, but we hope to get on tonight (Wed.). Wish us luck!!!

Wow! You must of had a busy weekend! I know you are excited about havign a house now. Are you goign to do yoru internship in SC instead of Germany? I tought you were goign to be doing it in Germany before you moved to SC. Tell Kate I said hello!

Amy - Thanks for always checking in to see what's going on with us!!! I do plan to do my internship in S.C. and met with my supervisor last week. Very exciting. Hope all is well with your family!!!
