China

In April I had the unique opportunity to go on an all girls trip to Beijing, CHINA!!! Most of our husbands are not allowed to visit China right now because of security reasons, so they stayed at home with the kiddos and we had a blast touring around and spending some much needed girl time. We had a tour guide, bus, and 23 women. We saw some amazing sites and had fun buying lots of stuff (i.e. Northface jackets, Ugg boots, designer watches, sunglasses and purses...all REAL of course!!!). I even bought a small silk rug. It was a trip I will remember for the rest of my life!

Sean and Caroline survived the 4 days 3 nights I was away ;) They went to the park, pool and even a Aggie Muster get together in Seoul. I was very impressed with his parenting skills (even thought I never doubted him)! Here are MANY pictures from my trip. Oh, and please remember that I am 30 weeks prego in these pictures, so if I look big....I am.

Our very first stop, lunch!

Traditional family-style meal

This woman came and danced for us while we were eating

People were facinated by our group and stared at us every where we went. They even asked to take pictures with us...seriously all the time. It got annoying at the end. I now feel sorry for celebrities and what they experience on a daily basis.

Tiananmen Square

Me in Tiananmen square

One of the MANY buildings in the Forbidden Palace. The place was HUGE!!!! There are 9,000 rooms and it took us around 2 hours just to walk from one side of the property to the other, with out going into any of the buildings.

Traditional Peking Duck dinner, pretty tasty!

The GREAT WALL!!!! It was amazing to see it and walk part of it!!

Me and baby boy on the Great Wall!! 30 weeks prego

The Summer Palace. Once of my favorite places because it was so pretty and really relaxing

Chinese Diet Coke :)

The boat we took across the lake

Wangfujing night market, some VERY interesting foods

My friend Becky and I shared fruit on a stick...we're chickens what can I say?

I met this British guy who was trying fried silk worms. He was nice enough to offer me the rest after he tried one (he said he was DONE!!). I politely declined :)

To finish up the trip we made a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe.
What a fun experience!! I highly recommend a visit to Beijing, China to everyone!!
