WALKING!!

This is Caroline walking!!!! This is actually a video of her walking for the FIRST TIME!!! She took her first step last Thurs, then took two steps yesterday. I was trying to capture her stepping to show Sean and other family members and caught this amazing milestone on film!!! What a treasure!!!

Happy St. Patty's day!

My 13 year old cousin Kat is spending her spring break with Caroline and I this week ( I am TRYING to make it exciting for her!). We had a somewhat unlucky St. Patty's Day with an unsuccessful trip to the zoo (way too packed and we waited an hour in traffic, so then we just left) and a visit to the park to feed the already full ducks. I'm going to try to make it up to her by taking her to an exciting event on Friday night (more on that later)... We did look cute in our green though!

Party Girl

Caroline's 1st birthday was last friday, and we celebrated with a small family party on Saturday afternoon. I know she didn't understand it was all for her, but I had so much fun! Here is a slideshow of the pictures from her b-day and her party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLINE!!!

My precious little baby turned 1 year today. I can't believe it! She is getting so big and has such a fun personality. She can't walk yet (anyday now!), but she CAN put a blackberry to her ear and say "hi!" AND point the remote at the TV and look at it like something's going to happen. It's amazing what they pick up (like maybe I watch too much TV??)

Today was pretty low key, but tomorrow is a small party with some family members. I'll post pictures then!

Vegas Baby!!

Caroline and I visited Sean a few weekends ago at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. It had been almost 7 weeks since Caroline had seen her daddy in person (she has a photo album with pictures of him that she looks at all the time). She recognized him immediatly, but acted very coy by putting her head on my shoulder and smiling. Then she warmed up and they had a blast playing together. We had so much fun on our visit.

She was very interested in his uniform, and even pulled off his patches and chewed on them!

We went to the strip during the day and visited some of the more "family friendly" sites (yes, there are some!) Here is Caroline checking out the fish at the aquarium at The Forum Shops at Caesars.

We also made a stop at FAO Schwartz toy store. Caroline wanted a big stuffed dog...

But left with a small stuffed bear :)

And MY favorite, the water show at the Bellagio. Caroline was not as impressed as I was! We finished up the day with an early dinner at P.F. Changs. Sean made sure we left before the "weirdos" came out. We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out on base. It was hard to say good-bye, but Sean is doing really well and the time seems to be flying by. June will be here in no time I'm sure!
