It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Caroline and I spent some time decorating for Christmas last weekend (Sean was TDY). She was a big helper! First we put together the tree...

Then Caroline put on the first ornament, a new Elmo ornament that sings "Jingle Bells" (I'm already tired of it :)

She got confused and thought the box was an ornament too...

Then we wrapped presents. Yes, Caroline loves to help!! (Just so you know, I pulled her off of the table like 10 times! I don't let her climb on it EVER, but she was determined! And someone asked me if she was really helping...no, she was unwrapping!

Then we had a wonderful surprise, SNOW!!!! Just a little actually stuck to the ground, but it was so fun to watch!!

We can't wait for Christmas!!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!
We had a great Halloween with Caroline! She was a little monkey, which is actually appropriate given how much she loves to climb! We did a dress rehearsal last weekend with her costume and she cried the whole time. She kept taking off the monkey face, so I was really worried about trick or treating. So I bribed her with fruit snacks and it worked! She kept the costume on the whole time. She also understood pretty quick how to walk up to the door, take the candy, put it in her pumpkin bag, and then go to the next door. We practiced saying "trick or treat" at home, but she forgot once it was time. She was such a big girl and even walked up to the door without me at the end. It was so much fun!!

She saw her first fellow trick or treater on our way to a friend's house. She liked how his horns lit up

Seoul and the DMZ

Last month Sean's parents came to visit us! We toured around Seoul and a few places close to where we live. We had a lot of fun!
At the Aquarium in Seoul. Caroline LOVED it!

Interesting fish tanks

Update from Korea

Ok, so we FINALLY picked up our truck recently and started exploring off base. A few weeks ago Caroline and I went with some friends to E-mart, which is kind of like the Korean version of Wal-mart. This was also my first attempt at driving our F-150 4x4 on the small streets of Korea. I am happy to report that it’s not that bad and the Koreans definitely let me rule the road :) Parking is a different story…

E-mart is 3 stories tall and includes clothes, household goods, electronics, and a huge grocery store (with very interesting food!). I didn’t buy many things, but I did purchase pink practice chopsticks for Caroline :) She’s still a little too young, but I know she will use them one day. In the meantime, Sean uses them ;) Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Oh, on a side note: Koreans LOVE children and they are obsessed with Caroline! While we were visiting the DMZ (which I will blog about soon) Sean was walking around with Caroline on his shoulders and an old woman was squishing her face and kissing her on the cheek and actually tried to take her off of Sean! Thankfully, Sean didn’t let her.

Three kiddos in the back seat! Caroline, Garrett and baby Quinn :)

A kimchi buffet, yum!

Popular rice balls with nuts inside (sorry, I can't think of any other way to describe it!)

Meat on a stick, also a popular snack

Not sure...but weird looking

Live crab tank, Caroline loved to watch the crabs

One tried to escape!

Not sure what that says. To tell you the truth, I didn't really know what most of the food was!

But they DID has Spam!

Our group going up the escalator that didn't have stairs. Hold on!!
