It's a girl!!!

On September 19th Sean and I found out the gender of our wee one!! At 15 and 1/2 weeks a nurse was able to tell us that we are expecting a girl!!! We were excited whether boy or girl, but it's now we can decorate!!! Here are the ultrasound pictures.

Baby girl Penrod!

The cutest feet I've ever seen!!

Hate to embarress her like this, but here is the picture that tells all (just for the record, I have NO idea what the arrow is pointing at!!!)

First pic

Our baby's first picture!! Sean and I went to the ultrasound together at 7 1/2 weeks. It was amazing...we were both so moved by it. We even saw the heart beating. It was so fast!! Everything is healthy and moving right along!!! What a miracle!!

Summer is over

Summer is over!!

Summer is over and school is back in session. I started my first job as a guidance counselor at Millwood Elementary School. Here is a picture that Sean took as I was leaving for my first day. I love the school I'm working at, the teachers I am working with, and the students!

Before I went "back to school" I spent my summer playing as much as possible!! I spent my time at the gym, shopping in Columbia, hanging out at the pool, going to "lunch bunch" with the other wives in the squadron, and traveling a little. Here are some pictures of those fun times I already miss!!

23 reunion

In July I went back to Montgomery to visit Kate, Kevin and baby Jack (my first time to meet him!!) who were in the SOS class right after Sean. I also met up with some other friends from Spangdahlem, the Locke family (Erin, Joe, Carson, Jessie and one on the way!)

The warm weather finally made it's appearance, so we packed up and headed to the lake. Our friends the Atkinsons, the Hudsons and Turbo met us there. We spent the day on the lake skiing, wake boarding and just relaxing! Then we camped out that night. Here are some pictures from the weekend!!

April Update

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Hello everyone! Sean and I have been extremely busy lately. The last 7 months since we’ve moved to South Carolina have just flown by!! I have rounding up the last month of my internship and of my master’s degree. Sean finished his MBA and is finishing his instructor pilot upgrade. Now you see why we’ve been so busy!

We also have a new family member. On St. Patrick’s Day we adopted a Chocolate Lab from the SPCA. Her name is Lucky, based on the day we adopted her and the fact she almost died because she was so sick when she was dropped off. Riley and Lucky are best buds now and they are constantly running, jumping and playing. This weekend we took them for a walk around a pond and Lucky jumped right in and started swimming!! After that Riley wanted to swim too! We are having so much fun with them.
Hope all is well with you and your family! Here are some recent pictures, and a “family” picture we took on Easter.

Historic South

Historic Camden

This past Saturday, Sean, Riley and I decided to finally venture out and explore the area. We ended up in Camden, SC at a historic battle site. The site had many historic buildings and homes on it and you could even bring your pets on the self guided tour!

Here is a picture of Sean and Riley in front of the mansion that Lord Cornwallis used as his headquarters during the Civil War!!! Remember "The Patriot"; Mel Gibson visits him at this house!!! So cool!!
